Thanks so much to J.E. Lattimer for sending me this photograph! J.E. is the author of THREE blogs: Mysteries of the Wasteland, Arcane Arrangements and Moonshine.

The ice sculptors are Koji Kareki and Kei Sakugawa, both alien-humans:
Here are the drawings for the intense piece of art:
Amazing work, huh? I can’t even draw a straight line. But that’s because my fingers are too long for pens.
Yes, that is a amazing piece of work! I did not know that they design on the paper first.
I’m glad they do. Could you imagine you’re deciding what to sculpt then the ice starts melting! Such a shame that it all melts away!
I forgot the mention J.E. Lattimer’s other blogs: http://unchartedrevelations.com/ and http://fictionalmachines.com/. His wife’s blog is Moonshine. Check them out–great work!
Cool stuff!
so sad that their hard work just melts away.
Ha! Ice cold stuff!
I wonder .. did they use photos of you?
Nah. I wish I could be a model! I’m not a queen. Plus, I’m a hybrid while the sculpture is pure Xenomorph.
I think xenophobic. Nothing wrong with hybrids
Wow, that’s pretty amazing!
I just hate that it will melt away! Such hard work.
Wow, these ice sculptures are mindblowing !
Yeah they are super talented! I would love to model for them.
Impressive 😀
I wonder what happens if they made a mistake and cut too much off. Do you think they pour water on the area hoping it will freeze?
Well first that would just melt it, so wouldn’t really help. Second I would imagine they’d try to adjust it to work. Or start again, clearly they have the free time 😀
good point!
