An update on my brother: He’s off the charts in height and weight already! Dad has to build a bigger crib. I guess Rick will have a roommate taking up most of the room!
Now, the main topic: Futurama!

I hope you’ve seen the show. If not, you must watch an episode now!
Aliens and terminators simply love it. Why? The robots, aliens, humans and other species not only get along, but they’re FRIENDS! Finally, a positive portrayal of interspecies relationships! Sadly, the entertainment world only depicts our friendships in cartoons, not with actual beings. It’s better than nothing, I guess.
Bender is my favorite. He’s not the typical Hollywood robot, all stuck-up and mechanical-sounding. Instead, he acts and sounds normal, even like a human! He’s a crass, selfish, lazy alcoholic, and I know some terminators like him. My stupid brother Rick is one. He’s a total slob who doesn’t do anything except watch TV.
Here’s Bender dressed like a terminator:

My Mom adores Leela, a mutant cyclops. Even though she’s not alien, we feel she stands in for us. Mom loves that she’s a strong, intelligent team player, not a monster like in those stupid Alien movies.
Here’s Leela fighting the human Captain James T. Kirk. He was in Star Trek, another show where aliens and humans got along:

Fry is the main character, a human. He’s really the dumbest on the show which is so refreshing to see—aliens aren’t the stupidest in the universe you know, and the producers understand that!!

We’re so grateful to Matt Groening, the creator of the show. We know humans probably gave him a hard time about such great portrayals. I mean, when was the last time you saw Christians, Jews, Muslims and Hindus all getting along in a show or movie? But that happens in real life all the time!
Love Futurama 😀
“Hey baby, wanna kill all humans” haha xD
LOL!!
Bender is awesome.
He is pretty cool! So funny that I know some terminators like him though!
Futurama is pretty awesome and underrated. Nice post.
It’s the only show my whole family watches together. And I have 7 siblings!
